All of us have been appalled by the suffering that came as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Many Connecticut residents are of Ukrainian descent, and some of them are Hartford teachers. On Friday, March 4, New Britain’s Polish community held a fundraiser at the Belvedere restaurant. The funds raised at this event will send much-needed medical and humanitarian supplies to Ukraine and the 1.5 million war refugees whose futures have suddenly become so uncertain. HFT First Vice President Corey Moses and Second Vice President Stuart Beckford were on hand in solidarity with the Polish Community to stand with Ukraine.
