This rally is to acknowledge and advocate for our teachers, who have navigated unprecedented obstacles this past year. We will speak to the importance of equity in education for all stakeholders: students, teachers, and families.
We also know that the people who know the most about what works in classrooms- our educators- are the least involved in educational decision-making. As we move forward from the pandemic, we know there will be changes in education, from blending digital learning into our classrooms to supporting the increased social-emotional needs of our students and staff. Educators must be at the forefront of these decisions.
Join us this Saturday, 12 noon, on the steps of our State Capitol.
